2025 Charter Anniversary Lunch

Billericay Lions Club was chartered in April 1979 and to celebrate 46th Anniversary, on Sunday 27th April, 54 Lions and guests met at Crondon Park.

Following an excellent lunch, our first female President, Lisa Hull, highlighted two recent substantial donations of £5,000 each for vital equipment needed for two extremely essential charities.

On the 10th April we officially handed over the keys for an ambulance we purchased to Ian Davey of Essex Community First Aid Event Volunteers.

Our second £5,000 donation was to Gerry Peaty of St Lukes Hospice which enabled them to purchase a special bath for one of their units.

Many other charities have benefited from our fundraising, albeit smaller amounts, but no less essential for them to be able to support those in need.

We have also been onhand to assist at what has previously been known as The Disabled Sports Day in Benfleet, now known this year as Lions Special Needs Sports and Fun Day, Rayleigh Lions Firework evening and a swimming gala in Hitchin supporting Runnymead Swimming Club from Castlepoint.

We have also assisted The Rotary Club Billericay Mayflower at the soap box derby (we will be there this year too on 4th May) and the Billericay Christmas Market.
