2026 Swimmability Meet

Organised by Swim England Essex and supported by Billericay Lions Club, the second Essex SwimAbility Meet was held on Saturday 5th September 2026.

This fantastic gala was open to young swimmers with physical, sensory or learning disabilities and welcomed competitors from several clubs across Essex.

The event gave every young swimmer the opportunity to take part in a competitive and supportive environment, with each competitor receiving a certificate and medal at the end of the day.

The presentations were made jointly by Roy Ginbey, President of Billericay Lions, and Michael Laniyan, President of Essex Swimming.

As always, Billericay Lions were delighted to support the event, with Lions members volunteering as timekeepers throughout the afternoon.

It was a wonderful and inspiring day, enjoyed by the swimmers, their families, volunteers and everyone involved. Congratulations to all the competitors who took part and helped make the second Essex SwimAbility Meet such a special occasion.
