Dave Parker – Posthumous Melvyn Jones Award
Billericay Lions President Ian Armstrong, presented a posthumous Melvin Jones Award in memory of Dave Parker who sadly passed away 5 June 2023.
The Melvyn Jones Award was presented to Debs Parker and their daughter Katie at Billericay Lions meeting on Monday 14 August.
Dave was an exceptional Lion and human being, dedicated to helping others in both word and deed. Lions motto is “We Serve”. Dave was an exceptional example to us in living up to this motto.
Dave had been a former president of this club and over the years he undertook most jobs including serving as the clubs secretary many times. He also served in various roles in the East Anglian Lions district. Dave was always ready to volunteer and was involved in or headed up many of the club projects.
