Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal
On a cold and rainy Saturday 5th March, fourteen Billericay Lions members and family collected in Billericay High Street for the 2022 Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal. The collection was organised by Lions on the charity’s behalf and raised £697.60 to help with their very valuable work.
Lions also arranged the distribution of Marie Curie collecting boxes. The boxes were distributed by Billericay Lions to 25 local schools and retailers and we are very grateful to everyone who took part.
The boxes have now all been collected and counted and the amount raised, £795.88, has been paid over to Marie Curie. We are advised that the total raised throughout Essex from the Daffodil Appeal was close to £29,000.
