A Wonderful Afternoon with Fisherman’s Friends

Billericay Lions held their annual Senior Citizens Film Afternoon on Sunday 27 September, and it proved to be a resounding success, with over 70 people attending.

Many of our guests were physically challenged and required transport to and from the event, which Billericay Lions was pleased to provide.

This year’s film was the much-loved Fisherman’s Friends, and the atmosphere really came alive as members of the audience joined in with the Cornish sea shanties!

During the interval, everyone enjoyed tea, coffee and cakes, providing an opportunity to catch up with friends and enjoy the company of others.

It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying an afternoon of film, music, refreshments and friendship. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with everyone agreeing that it had been a great afternoon.

Billericay Lions were delighted to host the event and look forward to welcoming everyone again next year.
