Swing Music Matinee Raises £575 for Local Charities

Billericay Lions would like to thank everyone who supported our Music Matinee at the Chantry Centre on Wednesday 1st July.

A large audience enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of live swing music from the talented John Moakes, whose outstanding performance featured classics made famous by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, Michael Bublé, Matt Monro and many more. His superb trumpet playing and engaging style made for a memorable afternoon.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, together with our volunteers who helped organise the event, the afternoon raised a net £575, which will go towards supporting local charities and community projects.

We are especially grateful to John Moakes for providing such first-class entertainment and to everyone who bought a ticket and helped make the event such a success.

We hope to welcome everyone back to future Billericay Lions events.
