Chernobyl Children’s Day Out

A regular annual event, Billericay Lions organise a day out at Adventure Island Southend for a party of 12 children (and helpers) part of a four week visit hosted by the local Chernobyl Childrens Lifeline group.

The children seemed to delight in the most scary rides and were even joined by our braver members.

Burgers, chips and drinks at lunch time, ice creams. Despite the language barrier communication was no problem.

The day was finished off with an excellent meal at Tomassi’s restaurant in Southend, with meals for the children kindly donated by the Tomassi family.

A really fun day out for children and Lions.
