Senior Citizens Film Afternoon

On Sunday 29th September Billericay Lions held their annual free Senior Citizens Film Afternoon.

On arrival around 2pm our 83 guests were welcomed by Lions and Friends of Lions and shown to their seats.

We aim to make the afternoon as enjoyable and special as possible especially for some of our guests who rarely attend a social event.

Seated at tables with table cloths, water, and bowls of sweets. During the interval cakes, and hot drinks were delivered to the tables. Also everyone was given a free ticket for the raffle which was drawn in the interval.

This years’ film was “Mrs Harris Goes To Paris” which the audience absolutely loved!

Around 5pm the afternoon ended with those who needed a lift being driven home by Billericay Lions members.

Judging by the comments as our guests left, everyone had a thoroughly wonderful afternoon and looked forward to next years event.

Billericay Lions are grateful for the additional help provided by Adam and Mark from Billericay Community Cinema, the three ladies from Nat West Basildon and members of the Bellringer and Ginbey families.
